What are the Best Water Softeners for Tucson Water?
The best and most affordable water treatment system with water softening capabilities, is the Green Fusion Combination Water Softener & Filter, part of the Ultima Water Products line, made by Franklin Water Treatment, in Mesa AZ
The Green Fusion system filters the water using coconut shell carbon, removes heavy metals from the water using KDF media, and softens the water using high-quality uniform bead resin.
The Green Fusion system is one of the very few water treatment systems on the market that work in a combined unit filtering and softening the water.
Additionally, the Green Fusion is made in Arizona, specifically for the water quality we have in Arizona. And it’s one of the lowest cost combined whole house softener and filter you’ll find.
Enjoy water that feels better on your hair and skin.
In addition to softening, the Green Fusion filters the water of chlorine making it feel better on your hair and skin. Your water will be less caustic on you, your appliances, fixtures, and pipes.
A system with no maintenance saves you money.
Most other systems require yearly maintenance at a cost of $249-$325 per year. Why own a system that can cost an extra $3,250 for 10-years of ownership?
Built in AZ- Meant for your water supply.
Since the Green Fusion is a local system to AZ, you get a whole house water softener that is designed and built specifically for your local water supply.
Other systems may have a lower price, but they can’t beat the Green Fusion on cost.
The cost to own most water softeners over a 10-year period can add several thousand dollars to the price. Not with the Green Fusion. Simply put, the Green Fusion is one of the lowest cost systems you can buy.
Non exclusive & no proprietary parts.
Don’t you hate being locked in? Many other systems are exclusive to one local dealer. That dealer locks you in and you can’t get service elsewhere or you void your warranty. The Green Fusion doesn’t lock you in nor will your warranty be voided based on who you hire for service or repairs. Anyone can get parts. Anyone can provide service & repairs. You get the control, not the manufacturer. Isn’t that the way it should be?
Local service & local warranty.
Don’t you hate having to call an 800 number for service and waiting days or weeks for parts to ship in from out of state? With the Green Fusion, everything is local right in town. No waiting. Less stress. The ultimate peace-of-mind.
10-year parts and labor warranty- one of the best you’ll find.
Don’t you hate warranties that come with fine print & multiple pages of terms & conditions? And even if you get the parts warranted, what about the labor cost to make the repairs? Most companies still charge for labor repairs even when the parts are under warranty. You don’t have to worry about hidden charges with the Green Fusion. You get a 10-year parts warranty, a 10-year labor warranty, and no fine print or terms & conditions that find ways to weasel out of the warranty. Your Green Fusion comes protected with one of the best warranties out there.
What are other people saying about the Green Fusion?
What does the Green Fusion cost?
If you already have an older system, or your home has a pre-plumbed water loop (soft water loop) it’s $2448.16 to have your new system installed. This cost includes the Green Fusion unit, all incidental materials, delivery to your home, your first few months of salt, and the complete installation with programming.
If your home doesn’t have a pre-plumbed connection for a water softener, then we’ll need to make a site visit to determine the best place for installation. Don’t worry, we make complimentary site visits. Schedule one today.
Is the Green Fusion salt based or saltless?
The Green Fusion is salt based, but the company that makes the system also makes a saltess system, called the Green NAC.
How do you know which system is better for you? If your water hardness is at 7 (GPG) grains per gallon or higher, then a saltess system will not be effective at eliminating limescale. Most of Tucson’s water hardness is between 12 GPG and 24 GPG. If your water hardness is below 7 GPG, then a saltess system will be perfect for you.
According to the Arizona Water Quality Association, the water supply in most of Arizona is considered “hard.”
Hard water is measured by the amount of calcium and magnesium bicarbonates in the water.
If you find that your dishes have spots coming out of the dishwasher, your toilet has a water stain ring, and your appliances and plumbing fixtures have scale deposits, your home likely has a hard water problem.
The U.S. Geological Survey shows that Arizona has high amounts of calcium carbonate in its water supply.
Since hard water deposits can be damaging to your plumbing system, often, Arizonans will look to water softeners and water treatment systems to solve their hard water problems.
